A youth was killed in road accident in Jatrabari area of the capital when two city buses hit his motorcycle near Jatrabari Ideal School on Tuesday Morning.

The deceased was identified as Omar Faruque Tuhin, 28, son of late Shamsul Alam of Shampur village from Ramgati upazila of Lakshmipur.

The accident took place at around 11:00 am as the killer buses hit Omar’s motorcycle from back leaving him dead on the spot.

Ahmed Nowajis, sub-inspector (SI) of Jatrabari Police Station said, the culprit drivers were arrested and the buses were seized immediately after the accident.

The dead body was sent to the morgue of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) for an autopsy, Nowajis added.
