Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in a drive seized gold ornaments worth about Taka 66.28 lakh from frontier
area Singnagar Haldapara under Jibannagar upazila of the district yesterday, a BGB-58 press release said today.

On secret information, a BGB team conducted a raid in the area on Monday afternoon and recovered the gold ornaments. Sensing the presence of BGB the smuggler fled away leaving the ornaments, the releases added.

The smuggler came to Bangladesh from India with the ornaments, it said.
