Four BAU students suspended over sexual harassment allegation

The authorities of Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) on Tuesday suspended its four students from the university following an allegation of sexual harassment of a fellow female student.  

The university authorities issued a notice in this regard this morning.

The suspended students are Nasir Uddin, Mobassher Hossain, Shamim Reza and Safaetul Islam. All of them are honours final-year students of the university’s separate departments.

The authorities suspended them as they were found guilty in a primary investigation after a female student of the university lodged a complaint of harassing her, the notice reads.

The authorities also served show-cause notices on the four, asking them to explain with in next five days why they would not be expelled from the university.
