An earthquake was felt in New Zealand’s Christchurch early on Tuesday morning.
According to the GeoNet website, a magnitude 4 tremor was recorded about 30 kilometres south of the small Canterbury town of Oxford at a depth of about 4km. It was initially recorded as a 4.1 at 6.34am.
There have already been more than 900 "felt" reports submitted to GeoNet. Most described the quake as feeling light to weak.
