Abdul Mannan, MP, of Bogura-1 constituency, was admitted to the Lab Aid Hospital in the city following a cardiac arrest on Thursday.

His condition is critical and he has been kept on life support, his physician said.

Mannan, former publicity and publication secretary and organisation secretary of Awami League, suddenly became sick at his city’s Dhanmondi residence on Thursday and was taken to the Papular Hospital.

Later, he was transferred to the Lab Aid Hospital. Mannan was also former President of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL).
