Scores of celebrities joined the election campaign of ruling Awami League nominated candidate for Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Atiqul Islam on Wednesday morning.

The celebrities include actors Riaz Uddin Ahmed Siddique, actress Azmeri Haque Badhon, Tarana Halim and footballer Kaysar Hamid.

Atiqul started his sixth day’s campaign from in front of Al-Raji Hospital at Farmgate in the capital at 11:00am. The celebrities were with him during the campaign. They sought vote for boat and distributed leaflets among the voters.

On December 22, the Election Commission announced that the elections of Dhaka south and north city corporations will be held on January 30.
