Founder of Gonoshasthaya Kendra Dr Zafarullah Chowdhury on Sunday said the ruling party has started to turn the country into their ancestral property after a “vote robbery” in the December 30 national election.
Zafarullah Chowdhury, also an organiser of Jatiya Oikya Front, made the remark while addressing a rally at Jatiya Press Club in the capital.Oikya Front, an anti-government political alliance, organised the rally around 3:30 am.
He said, “The ruling Awami League and its allies can arrange rallies and councils at Suhrawardy Uddan. But Oikya Front, Bangladesh Nationalist Party and other opposition parties are not allowed to hold political programme at the venue. They (Awami League) think that the historical place is their ancestral property.”
