Narayanganj police on Monday arrested five people for allegedly raping a woman of Fatullah upazila in Narayanganj.

The incident took place at 8:30 pm at the Masjid Golly adjacent Shahjalal Rolling Mill area Battala of Fatullah.

The victim, an 18-year old who works at a readymade garment factory, hailed from Nawmala area of Baufal upazila in Patuakhali.

Police arrested five youths named Russell, Al-Amin, Rabin, Sumon and Rubel in this connection.

Aslam Hossain, officer-in-charge (OC) of Fatullah Model Police Station, said a group of 4 to 5 youths, including Russell, took  the RMG worker forcibly to an abandoned house when she was returning her home  from her workplace on Monday night and later the wrongdoers raped her by turns.
