Rohingya youth stabbed dead in Cox’s Bazar

A Rohingya youth was hacked to death by another Rohingya teenage boy over trifling matter at Kutupalung Rohingya Camp of Ukhia Upazila in Cox’s Bazar on Sunday night.

The deceased was identified as Abdullah, 20, son of Nurul Alam, from Block-C of the Camp.

Police arrested Nur Mohammad in this connection after the incident.

Confirming the news, officer-in-charge (OC) of Ukhia Police Station, said that Abdullah locked in an altercation with Nur Mohammad in front his father’s tea shop. At one point, Nur swooped on Abdullah and stabbed him indiscriminately with a sharp knife, leaving him dead on the spot.

On information, police went to the spot and recovered the body and sent it to Sadar Hospita’s morgue for an autopsy, he said.
