Syndicate to hold meeting on Wednesday over reopening of JU

Jahangirnagar University (JU) syndicate will hold an emergency meeting on the campus tomorrow afternoon to discuss resumption of academic activities of the university, said a press release.
On November 5, the authorities closed the university for an indefinite period and asked all the students to vacate their respective dormitories.
The university authorities took the decision when a section of teachers and students staged demonstration demanding the resignation of university Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Farzana Islam over her alleged involvement in corruption.
However, Dr Farzana repeatedly denied her involvement in any corruption.
