Air Force Chief leaves for USA

Chief of Air Staff of Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) Air Chief Marshal Masihuzzaman Serniabat on Monday flew to United States of America (USA) on a 5-day official visit.

During his visit he is scheduled to attend the "Pacific Air Chiefs Symposium (PACS 19)" in Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam in Hawaii responding an invitation of Commander of US Air Force pacific command.

The Chief of Air Staff will take part in a series of panel discussions of the symposium. The main theme of this year’s symposium is- "A Collaborative Approach to Regional Security," said an Inter-Services Public Relation (ISPR).

Panel discussions will concentrate on regional security, domain awareness, multi-domain operation, interoperability and humanitarian assistance/disaster relief.

Among the five subjects, Serniabat will deliver his remarks on humanitarian assistance/disaster relief. Besides, he will also call on the Air Chiefs of Sri Lanka, Vietnam, India, Brunei, France and Indonesia and exchange views on different issues of bilateral interest during call on.

The visit is expected to play an important role for strengthening the existing relationship among the Air Forces of participating countries and enhancing friendly relationship between the Air Forces of Bangladesh and USA.
