The first-ever 'Bangladesh Smart City Expo and Conference' will be held in the city on November 28 to discuss core issues for developing a sustainable smart city, reports UNB.
The expo will feature the main aspects that are needed to set up a smart city - internet of things, smart payment, fintech, ICT device, smart energy, construction, water waste management, smart transport, smart technology, smart communication etc.Mayor of Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Atiqul Islam will inaugurate the exhibition.
RedCarpet365 Ltd briefed the media about the expo at a press conference held at Economic Reporters Forum (ERF) auditorium on Saturday.
Director Marketing of RedCarpet365 Ltd Fatematuj Johra, its CEO Ahmed Imtiaz, Associate Director of PwC Bangladesh Suparna Roy, Manager Communication and Research of AMTOB Abdullah Al Mamun, Executive Council Member-Bangladesh Innovation Forum Syed Mahmood Moosa were present at the press conference and talked about the importance of developing sustainable smart city.
Ahmed, CEO of RedCarpet365 Ltd mentioned that the expo will have related government and non-government organisations' participation and will also have several seminar and panel discussions on a number of topics.
Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), Bangladesh Solar & Renewable Energy Association (BSREA), National Housing Authority (NHA), PricewaterhouseCoopers Bangladesh Pvt Ltd, Association of Mobile Telecom Operators of Bangladesh (AMTOB), Dhaka Mass Transit Co., Ltd (DMTCL), and House Building Research Institute (HBRI) are part of the expo.
The inaugural ceremony of the expo will be held at 11am at International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB).
