Youth arrested for using BCL president’s name in making job recommendation

A youth was arrested as he allegedly made a phone call to a private bank and recommended for a job in the name of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) central committee’s executive president Al Nahian Khan Joy.

The boy identified as Rony Amin alias Sakib (29) was arrested from under the foot over bridge in front of Government Bangla College at Mirpur in Dhaka on Wednesday night.    

Claiming himself as the BCL president Nahiyan Khan Joy, Rony made the recommendation over phone to the bank for his own job. He was arrested later. A cell phone and 19 visiting cards were recovered from his possession. The visiting cards contained posts of Assistant Vice President, Bangladesh Chhatra League, Government Bangla College Branch and Revenue Inspector, Dhaka WASA, PPI Revenue Zone-3, according to Detective Branch of Police.

ADC Khandaker Lanin, DB (south) of Lalbagh Zonal Team, confirmed the matter to newsman.
