Mymensingh’s rail link with Dhaka, Chattogram restored after 4 hours

Mymensingh’s rail communication with Dhaka, Chattogram was restored on Thursday evening after four hours of disruption following derailment of a bogie of a train in Bhairab Upazila of Kishoreganj.
Ferdous Ahmed, officer-in-charge of Bhairab Railway Police Station, said the rail communication on the route resumed around 4:30 pm.
AKM Quamruzzaman, station master of Bhairab Railway Station, a wheel of Chattogram-bound Nasirabad Express train derailed around 1:00 pm when it was crossing Jagannathpur area of Bhairab, snapping rail communication of Mymensingh with Dhaka and Chattogram.
A relief train from Akhaura reached the spot and restored the rail communication.
