Two held with 2,900 Yaba pills in Brahmanbaria

Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) detained two youths with 2,900 Yaba pills from Moniandha road area of Akhaura upazila in Brahmanbaria on Saturday.

The arrestees are Md Parvez Mia, 28, son of Md Abdul Barek Mia, of Haripur village and Md Saidul Islam Swapon, son of Morshed Mia, of Minarkot village of the upazila.

Abdul Gaffar, Subedar, BGB Moniandha Camp, said a BGB patrol team detained the duo with the contraband pills and seized the motorcycle they were riding in front of a saw mill on Saturday noon.

They were handed over to Akhaura Police Station on Sunday evening, Gaffar added.
