Tipu inaugurates Bangladesh-Australia trade conference in Sydney

Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi inaugurated maiden Bangladesh-Australia trade conference in Sydney, Australia on Friday.
Jointly organized by Bangladesh High Commission in Australia and Australia Bangladesh Business Council (ABBC), the two-day conference is being held at Hotel InterContinental, Sydney.
Emphasizing on the matter of maintaining GDP growth more than 6% in last one decade in spite of global recession, the commerce minister said Australia can make investment in sectors like garments, agriculture, education, skill development, power, energy and financial service.
Bangladesh High Commissioner in Australia Sufiur Rahman pressed on trade exchange, financial partnership between the two countries and increasing bilateral cooperation.
More than two hundred people including representatives from different trade bodies of the two countries, industrialists and government officials are taking part in the conference.
