Police arrested 'top terror' Abdur Rahman alias Raha from Gangni upazila of Meherpur early Friday.

Officer-in-change (OC) of Gangni Police Station Obaidur Rahman confirmed this to media in the morning.

He said, “Police have arrested top terror Abdur Rahman from Hinda Mathpara area of the upazila around 1:00 am while conducting a drive against terrorism in the area. A one-shooter gun, two rounds of bullets and 400 grams of gunpowder were seized from his possession during the drive.”

Abdur Rahman, son of late Samad Sheikh, is wanted in different cases including murder, arms and drug dealings with the local police station, Obaidur added.
