Police have recovered a dead body of a street child stuffed into a sack from a footpath in front of Olympic Bhaban at Gulistan in the capital.

The body was recovered at 10:00 pm on Sunday night.

The deceased was identified as Sunny, 6, son of Sagor Sheikh and Jharna Begum residing at 3 no gate of Gulistan Stadium.

ASI Anowar Hossain of Ahad police outpost under Paltan Thana confirming the matter said the child was missing from Saturday night.
