BDU VC Professor Munaz Ahmed exchanges views with guardians of students

Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Digital University (BDU) Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Munaz Ahmed Noor has exchanged views with guardians of students of the varsity, a press release said.

Public Relation Officer (PRO) Shahidul Islam Shimul confirming the matter said the view exchange meeting was held at 4:00 pm on Saturday at academic building of the university’s main campus at Kaliakair in Gazipur.

The VC discussed about the overall activities of the university and the facilities available for the students of the university in the meeting.

The guardians conveyed their gratitude to the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for establishing of the digital university. Besides, they also call the VC for building dormitory, well-established transportation and security system, healthcare and a modern library with rich collections, the release added.

The guardians also thanked the VC for the meeting saying that the relation between the guardians and the university had become solidified with that arrangement. They also hoped for such gathering in regular basis.

VC professor Munaz Ahmed said, “The honourable prime minister has established the university with a view to making our youth students ready to lead in the fourth industrial revolution. The authorities of the university have been trying to provide all kinds of facilities to the students since its establishment. We have arranged scholarships for the students considering their necessity. Work is going on for the arrangement of hostels in temporary basis. UGC also pledged us to provide all kinds of supports in this regard. We always maintain a close communication with Kaliakair Thana to ensure overall security of the students. Local MP and Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque is providing all kinds of supports to us in this regard. We are also concerned enough about the health care facility of the students. We have planned to buy ambulance in the next budget to provide a 24-hour service to our students. Besides, works are going on for the establishment of ultramodern library.”

The officials of the university including teachers and Registrar Md Ashraf Uddin were also present during the meeting.
