A local leader of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) suffered bullet injuries in a gun attack at Moshiali ground of Khanjahan upazila in Khulna on Saturday night.

The victim is Sohel Mahmud, vice-president of the city unit of BCL.

A group of three miscreants opened fire on Sohel around 11pm while he was gossiping with his friends at the Moshiali ground, said sub-inspector Monir Hossain of Khanjahan Ali Police Station.

With bullet wounds to his waist and a hand, he was taken to Khulna Medical College Hospital for treatment, the police official added.
