Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni on Sunday said that educational institutions will be listed under the MPO facility on the basis of specific criteria.
The minister came up with this observation while speaking to reporters after a meeting with the non-MPO teachers on Sunday night at the International Mother Language Institute. The education minister said the existing MPO policy would be amended so that educational institutions that would meet the criteria will be listed under the MPO facility every year on a regular basis.
The quality of the companies receiving MPOs will be monitored regularly and MPOs who do not produce results according to the policy will be terminated. According to the current policy, this year's MPO has been finalized. In this case, there is no opportunity for the incorporation of a new organization. If it is violated, there will be a case in court. As a result, all MPOs considered eligible will be discontinued.
MPOs listed institutions will be brought under regular monitoring system and institutions those failed to obtain expected results according to the policy will lose MPO facility.
Mentioning that the MPO listing of this year has been finalized according to the existing policy, she dismissed any chance of including any institution’s name into the list. If any violation of policy would take place, case would be filed with the court and MPO facility will be suspended for all eligible institutions.
