Novoair, one of the country’s private airlines and Firefly, a subsidiary company of Malaysia airline have agreed on working together for enhancing capacity of pilot training and aircraft maintenance of both the airlines.
To this end, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed today by Novoair and Firefly to work jointly in the areas of training, engineering, aircraft maintenance and operational support.Novoair Managing Director Mofizur Rahman and Firefly Chief Executive Officer Philip See Yew Jin inked the agreement on behalf of their respective sides at a ceremony held in NOVOAIR head office in the capital, a press release said.
Pointing out that ensuring flight safety is the top priority of Novoair, Mofizur Rahman said they signed the agreement with reputed company Firefly for necessary cooperation in upgrading aircraft maintenance and manpower skill to further improve the quality of their services.
Yew Jin said the agreement has been signed aiming at improving passenger services through exchange of experiences between both the airlines.
Currently, NOVOAIR operates daily 5 flights to Chattogram, 5 flights to Cox’s Bazar, 5 flights to Saidpur, 5 flights to Jashore, one flight to Barishal, Rajshahi and Kolkata with 6 aircraft ATR 72-500 model aircraft.
