Rob demands ban on BCL for Abrar murder

Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) President ASM Abdur Rob has said Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) should be banned for killing Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) meritorious student Abrar Fahad.

In protest of the killing, the former vice president (VP) of Dhaka University Central Students' Union (DUCSU) made this demand from a human chain formed in front of the National Press Club in the capital on Thursday.

“Talented BUET student Abrar Fahad was killed as he spoke on behalf of the country and its people. The government committed the brutal murder in a planned way as he (Abrar) protested the conspiracy against the interest of the country. Through this killing, the whole nation has been killed, not only Abrar. Accepting the liability for his murder, the BCL politics should be banned,” he said.

Former DUCSU VP and convener of Nagorik Oikya Mahmudur Rahman Manna, former DUCSU VP Amanullah Aman, former DUCSU GS Khairul Kabir and AGS Nazimuddin, among others, spoke on the occasion.
