Ferry services on the Shimulia-Kathalbari route were suspended for indefinite period due to poor navigability from Tuesday afternoon.

The route is on the Padma River in Lauhajang upazila under Munshiganj district.

The authorities of the Ghat suggested the ferry operators to use Paturia-Daulatdia route as an alternative till the navigation problem is solved.

The transport service has been suspended around 5:00pm on Tuesday, according to media report.
