At least one person was killed as Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) personnel fired bullets in an attempt to bring a chaotic situation under control at a polling centre in Naikhongchhari upazila of Bandarban.

The incident took place at the centre at Patrajhiri under Gumdhum union on Monday afternoon, Naikhongchhari police station OC Anwar Hossain confirmed the matter to media.

Three other people were also injured during the incident.
