Voters at eight upazila parishads, 2 municipalities and 14 union parishads (UP) exercised their franchise to elect new public representatives.

The voting began at 9:00am on Monday and ended at 5:00pm.

EC Additional Secretary Mokhlesur Rahman said they had taken all necessary measures to ensure a free and fair balloting.

Tight security measures have been put in place to avert any untoward incident.
