Police have prayed for a seven-day remand to interrogate BNP vice chairman M Hafizuddin Ahmed who was arrested on Sunday in a case filed under Digital Security Act.  

Abdul Mabud, inspector (investigation) of Pallabi Police Station, said Hafizuddin was produced before a court in Dhaka on Sunday morning seeking remand.  

The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) detained the BNP leader at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka this afternoon when arrived home from Singapore.
