Five persons died after “taking excessive liquor” in Rupsa and City area of Khulna on Wednesday.

The deceased were identified as Sujan Shil, 26, Prosonjit Das, 29, Tapas, 35, Raju Biswas, 25 and Porimal.

Dr Alamgir of Khulna Medical College and Hospital (KMCH) confirmed the news.

The dead bodies have been kept at the hospital morgue.
