Mohila Dal leader fails to secure bail in explosive case

A Dhaka court again denied bail to Razia Alim, president of Jatiyatabadi Mohila Dal Dhaka South unit, in a case lodged under Explosive Substances Act.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Abu Sufian Noman scrapped Razia’s bail plea as her lawyers filed the petition before the court.

The court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Moinul Islam on September 12 sent Razia to jail in the case, after scrapping her bail plea for the first time.

The Mohila Dal leader was arrested on September 11 from her Noyabazar home in the 2018 case. Police filed charge sheet in the case in June this year.

According to the police, Razia went into hiding after filing of the charge sheet in the case.
