The written test results of Assistant Teacher Recruitment Examinations 2018 of government primary schools have been published on Sunday evening.

A total of 55,295 candidates came out successfully in the exam, said Directorate of Primary Education (DPE) director general Dr AFM Manjur Kadir.

The first phase exams was held on May 24, second phase on May 31, third phase June 21 and fourth phase on June 28.

Earlier, the recruitment circular to appoint assistant teachers was published on July 30, last year while the candidates submitted application through online from August 1 to August 30.

Over 24 lakh candidates applied against 12,000 posts of the assistant teachers.
