Junior Tigers lose early four wickets, score 17/4 after five overs

Bangladeshi Junior Tigers lost early four wickets while chasing a 107-target against their Indian counterparts in the ongoing final of the Asian Cricket Council Under-19s Asia Cup at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Saturday.

Opener Tanzid Hasan was given out lbw in the very first over of Akash Singh while Parvez Hossain Emon was caught out as he made poor shot selection in the next over of India bowler V Patil.

Junior Tigers scored 17 runs after palying first five overs. Indian bowler Akash Singh bagged three wickets in just three overs.

Earlier, India won the toss and elected to bat first.

Bangladesh Under 19 cricket team restricted India to 106 runs in 32.4 overs.

Indian batsman Karan Lal scored the team highest 37 runs off 42 balls, hitting 3 fours and one si.

Dhruv Jurel contributed 33 runs from 57 balls, featuring two fours and one six, SG Rwat scored 19 runs off 25 balls featuring two boundaries.

Bangladesh bowler Shamim Hossain, Mrittunjoy Chowdhury claimed three wickets for each while Shahin Alam and Tanzim Hasan Sakib picked up one respectively.
