U19 Asia Cup: Bangladesh restrict India to 106

Bangladesh Under 19 cricket team restricted India to 106 runs in 32.4 overs in the final of the Under-19s Asia Cup at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Saturday.

Indian batsman Karan Lal hammered the team highest 37 runs off 42 balls, hitting 3 fours and one six, Dhruv Jurel contributed 33 runs from 57 balls, featuring two fours and one six, SG Rwat scored 19 runs off 25 balls featuring two boundaries.

Bangladesh bowler Shamim Hossain grabbed three Indian wickets for 8 runs, Mrittunjoy Chowdhury claimed also three wickets for 18 runs while Tanzim Hasan Sakib, Shahin Alam took one each.

Earlier, India won the toss and elected to bat first.
