Motorcyclist killed in city road accident

A motorcyclist was killed as a passenger bus hit his motorcycle at Rampura Bridge area in the capital on Friday noon.

The deceased was identified as Abdul Quader, 60, was a driver in Supreme Court, resident of Dohar area in Dhaka.

Asad-bin-Abdul Quader, sub-inspector (SI), who is also the son of deceased said that a speedy passenger bus hit the bike from behind at 11:00 am when Quader was going to office riding on the vehicle at the area, leaving him critically injured. Later, the injured was brought to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) where duty doctor declared him dead at 12:00 pm.

Confirming the news, Rafiqul Islam, officer-in-charge (OC) of Badda Police Station, said that police seized the bus and arrested its driver.
