Four more people died of dengue fever in Khulna, Faridpur and Mymensingh districts in the last 12 hours.
In Khulna, a vegetable seller died of dengue fever at Khulna Medical College and Hospital (KMCH) on Monday morning.The deceased was identified as Mizanur Rahman, 40, a resident of Khajadanga village of Rupsa upazila in Khulna district.
He breathed his last at around 7:00 am this morning while undergoing treatment, a hospital source said.
Dr Shailendranath Biswas, resident physician (RP) of KMCH confirmed the death.
Earlier, Mizanur was admitted to the dengue ward of KMCH on Thursday.
With the demise of Mizanur, a total of 5 people died of dengue fever in Khulna.
In Faridpur, Delwar Hossen, 35, son Sheikh Shafi Uddin, resident of Goldangirchar village in North Channel union of Sadar upazila, died of dengue fever at Faridpur Medical College Hospital (FMCH) on Monday morning.Confirming the news, Kamda Proshad Shaha, director of the FMCH said Delwar admitted to the hospital on August 18 and he breathed his last at 10:00am today.
Six people so far died of dengue fever in the hospital, he said.
In Mymensingh, two dengue patients named Anwar, 46, hailing from Kendua upazila of Netrokona and Russel, 35, of Pakundia upazila of Kishorgonj, died at Mymensingh Medical College and Hospital (MMCH) last night.
