The prices of all kinds of gold increased by Tk1,166 per bhori, in line with the international market, Bangladesh Jewellers’ Samity (Bajus) said in a statement.
The new prices of gold will be effective from Monday, the statement said.In its statement, Bajus on Sunday said the price per gram of 22 carat gold was set at Tk4,875, and it will be sold at Tk56,862 per bhori.
It was sold at Tk55,695 per bhori even on Sunday. One bhori is about 11.66 grams.
As per the new price chart, 21 carat gold per bhori will be sold at Tk54,529, while 18 carat gold per bhori for Tk49,347.
The traditional (sanatan) category of gold will be sold at Tk29,160 per bhorii.
Earlier on August 6, and 7, Jewellers hiked the price of gold.
