Offices resume after Eid vacation

All government, semi-government and private offices including banks and financial institutions resumed on Wednesday after the Eid holiday.

The bus terminals, Kamalapur Railway Station and Sadarghat launch terminal are experiencing normal gatherings today.

City roads are experiencing less traffic jam as only a few public transportations are plying on roads while most of the shops and business outlets are yet to be opened. The regular activities in offices are yet to get back to the normal pace. Most of the public and private offices saw the very low presence of staff and officials on the first day.

Eid-ul-Azha, one of the biggest religious festivals of Muslims, was celebrated in the country amid much enthusiasm and religious fervour on Monday.

The Eid holidays were from August 11 to 13, while officials of government and private offices got an opportunity to enjoy their vacation from August 11 to August 17 with two-days optional leave on 14th and 15th of August following Friday and Saturday respectively on 16th and 17th of August.
