Soumya’s father diagnosed with dengue

Bangladeshi opener batsman, Soumya Sarkar’s father has been diagnosed with dengue infection on Monday the Eid-ul-Azha day.

Soumya’s father Kishori Mohon Sarkar, a retired secondary education official, came to Satkhira Sadar hospital on Monday morning as he fell sick from fever and body pain. After blood tests, doctors confirmed dengue infection and found his blood Platelets reduced to 1,32,000.

Doctors assured Soumya and his family not to worry. But the Tiger cricketer and his brother were not convinced by hospital authorities. They planned to shift their father to Dhaka on Monday evening.
