US President Donald Trump told the nation Monday it must stop glorifying violence, pointing the finger at video games over two weekend shootings that left 29 dead.
"We must stop the glorification of violence in our society. This includes the gruesome and grisly video games that are now commonplace," Trump said in a short speech at the White House."It is too easy today for troubled youth to surround themselves with a culture that celebrates violence."
Trump suggested that mental illness more than the ready availability of guns was the main problem behind America's epidemic of gun violence, and said the Internet had fueled this.
"We must recognize that the internet has provided a dangerous avenue to radicalized disturbed minds," Trump said.
