IUBAT holds seminar on tourism based career

The College of Tourism and Hospitality Management (CTHM) of IUBAT has successfully conducted a seminar on “Career Prospects of Tourism and Hospitality Management Graduates in Bangladesh Tourism and Hospitality Industry” on Wednesday (24 July).

The seminar held at IUBAT—International University of Business Agriculture and Technology—conference hall.

Shaikh Ershad Hossain, Chair of CTHM was the President of the seminar while Md. Al-Amin, Executive Assistant Manager (EAM) of Six Seasons Hotel, Dhaka graced the seminar as the Chief Guest.

Mohammad Abu Horaira, Coordinator, CTHM presented welcome-address and commended all guests for joining the seminar.

The Chief Guest, Md. Al-Amin in his speech as the key resource person highlighted needs for the higher education in tourism and hospitality management as country is observing tremendous growth of this industry.

He further emphasised that there are ample employment opportunities that tourism and hospitality industry are generating.

Guest speaker Jason Salgado, Head of Sales, Six Seasons Hotel and Dr. Khwaja Muhammed Sultanul Aziz, Distinguished Professor of IUBAT and faculty members of CTHM also spoke on the occasion emphasising on different aspects of tourism and hospitality industry.

It was well participated by students, Alumni of the College of Tourism and Hospitality Management (CTHM) and experts from different hotels in the city.
