Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) senior joint secretary Ruhul Kabir Rizvi on Monday claimed that the flood-affected people of the country are crying for relief but there is a shortage of relief materials.
He made the claim while speaking at a meeting of Jatiyatabadi Matshajibi Dal at BNP’s central office in the capital’s Nayapaltan area.He said, “The incidents of women repression and child abuse have broken out in an epidemic form in the country. Cut off heads of children are being found. Are these the examples of development of Awami League led-government?.”
Raising question over Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s 18-day official visit to the United Kingdom, he said “Flood situation has continued to deteriorate in a number of northern districts including Lalmonirhat, Kurigram and Sirajganj. The prime minister has gone to London during this disaster period. Is it the responsibility of the government?”
