Three of the four youths, who were arrested in connection with the murder of Taslima Begum Renu, have been placed on a four-day remand.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Dhiman Chandra Mondol on Monday passed the order as police produced Jafar, Shahin and Bappi before the court and pleaded to place them on 10-day remand each for the sake of proper interrogation.Earlier, Police detained four youths in separate moves from Uttar Badda area in the city for beating Taslima Bagum to death following a child-lifting rumour in the capital’s Uttar Badda on Saturday.
The names of arrestee are Zafar, 28, Bappi, 21, Shahin, 31 and Bacchu Mia.
On Saturday, Taslima Begum Renu was beaten to death by a mob in front of Uttar Badda Government Primary School, where she went to take information about the admission process for her four-year-old daughter.
A police case was filed against 400 or 500 unknown people with Badda Police Station on the same night.
Based on CCTV footage police so far arrested four people for their involvement in Taslima Bagum Tenu murder till Monday.
