No candidate from 41 colleges managed to clear this year’s Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations.
But the number of educational institutions with a zero pass rate has in fact come down, compared to last year, when no student from 55 colleges passed the HSC exam.However, the number of educational institutions with 100% pass rates has gone up compared to the previous year.
This year, 909 educational institutions achieved the feat, compared to 400 institutions in the previous year.
The results of HSC and equivalent exams were published on Wednesday. This year, the percentage of students clearing the exams and the number of GPA 5 achievers has risen.
The total pass rate stood at 73.93 per cent which is 7.29 percentage points higher than last year.
