Law Minister Anisul Huq on Tuesday said the security at all courts of the country will be tightened after the incident of stabbing an accused to death in front of the judge in a Cumilla court yesterday.
“I have talked to the Supernatant of Police (SP) of Cumilla district. We will tighten the security at the courts. The security system will be tightened not only in Cumilla court but also each court of 64 districts of the country,” He said.In reply to reporters’ queries, he made the remarks after he attended a session of the Deputy Commissioners’ (DC) Conference at the Secretariat in the city on the day.
He sought cooperation from the DCs to prevent militancy and corruption in the country during the session.
Earlier, an accused of a murder case was stabbed to death by his cousin during a hearing on the murder case at the Comilla Additional District and Sessions Judge’s court yesterday.
The comment of tightening security at the courts of the country from Law Minister came following the incident.
