Home Minister Assaduzzaman Khan Kamal on Monday said no market of sacrificial animals will be allowed beside roads and highways of the country during the upcoming holy Eid-ul-Azha this year.
“The home ministry has already issued a warning so that none can arrange sacrificial animal markets in the places, which are not fixed for the markets,” he said.The home minister made the remarks before journalists after he joined a meeting on security measures during Eid-ul-Ajha at his secretariat office in the city.
Assaduzzaman Khan said, “The deputy commissioners (DCs) of the country have already been asked to arrange alternative places for sacrificial animal markets in every district, in case the areas are affected by flood.”
He also informed that police will be present in every sacrificial animal market of the country to tighten the security. Fake currency note recognition machine will be arranged there too.
