Hundred films have been submitted for the 6th Dhaka International Mobile Film Festival (DIMFF) on July 4 and received its 100th film “The Last Doppelganger”.
DIMFF is a unique film-making competition, where the films have to be made on a smartphone. The festival is open to all.The festival has three categories; Screening, Competition and One minute film. In the Screening category, anyone from anywhere around the world can submit their films.
For the university students they have the competition category where the best film will get “Cinemascope best film award”.
The One minute film category is for the school students i.e. Class 1 to 12 and the best film here will get “ULAB Young Filmmaker” award.
The highest length for the Screening and One minute film category movies is 10 minutes and in the One Minute film category the film has to be of one minute including the title and credit line.
Every participant can submit highest of 2 movies. Every film must have its subtitles. To know more about DIMFF you can check their website (www.dimff.net).
The awardees will get a cash prize, certificate and a crest.New generation, New tool and New communication- with this tagline Dhaka International Mobile Film Festival (DIMFF) started its journey in 2015. Cinemascope, an apprenticeship programme of the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh is organising the event.
The submission for this year’s DIMFF will end in September 26, 2019.
