Liberation War researcher, freedom fighter and writer Golam Ershadur Rahman died on Saturday midnight due to cardiac arrest.
Ershadur Rahman suddenly fell sick at his own residence in Netrokona on Saturday night. His family took him to Netrokona Modern Sadar Hospital, but the doctors of the hospital referred him to Mymensingh Medical College and Hospital (MMCH). He died on way to MMCH.Freedom fighter Haidar Jahan Chowdhury, the then deputy commander of Mujib force, told the journalist that Ershadur Rahman was district Chhatra League President and commander of Mujib force at the time of War of Independence.
Later, his body will be taken to Netrokona where the namaz-e-janaza will be held according to his family member’s decision. His burial arrangements will be made with state honour.
‘Netrokonar Baulgiti’ was published under Bangla Academy in 1994 by Ershadur Rahman and in 1995 he had published another book ‘Mukti-Songrame Netrokona’
