Youths urged to acquire IT skills

National Children Task Force (NCTF) hosted its special session, Child Parliament, focusing on sustainable development goal.

Planning Minister MA Mannan was the chief guest at the session while Child Parliament Speaker Mariam Akhtar presided it over at Brac Inn Dhaka on Wednesday, said a news release.

Development Agencies – Plan International and Save the Children — jointly patronised the meeting in association with Bangladesh Shishu Academy.

Some 32 youth representatives from 16 socially excluded groups attended the special session on sustainable development goals.

Addressing the meeting, Minister Mannan called upon the youths to acquire skills to face the challenges of transformation of technology globally.

He also emphasised the importance of development of children for achieving sustainable development goal.

Mannan said the government has laid stress on development of children living in remote areas of the country in the seventh five-year plan for inclusive development.
