Where is Love Island 2019 filmed?

Love Island is set to be back on our screens this summer and we can't wait to see all of the romance unfold.

But it's not just the drama that has us hooked - every summer, we get major holiday envy in the process.

After all the beautiful villa serving as the contestants' home is seriously luxurious, the weather gloriously sunny, and the views are incredible.

So, where is exactly is Love Island and, more importantly, can you stay there?

Here's everything we know so far...

Oh, and if you are feeling inspired, you could hire one of these Love Island-style villas for the summer too

Where is Love Island filmed?

The sun-soaked island is closer than you think - Majorca, Spain to be exact.

With a flight time of under three hours, it's an ideal holiday destination whether you're looking to book in a long weekend, or want to spend a full week exploring the region's beautiful beaches or picturesque Palma.

You can find out more in our Majorca Spain guide on how to find cheap holidays and flights as well as all-inclusive deals.

Thinking of your own romantic break there? We've included a few date ideas at the bottom of the article to give you a helping hand, or you can also check out our top picks of Majorca's best things to see and do.

Cheap flights to Majorca:

1. easyjet has flights starting from £23.21 each way with departures from a host of airports including Manchester, Newcastle, Bristol and London.

2. Thomas Cook has flights over the summer months starting from as little as £28.99 each way.

3. Ryanair has seats going from €15.20 for direct flights over the summer.

You can also find great deals from a wide range of UK airport departures on Skyscanner and Expedia .

Where is the Love Island villa?

The exact location of the Love Island villa has always been kept a secret from viewers, although we know that it's in Majorca.

It seems that ITV2 will be using the same villa as last year for the series, although it seems it's getting a major update as construction began in May.

We can't wait to see what's new, although we can't help but hope that some of our favourites stay from the kitchen to the hot tub and gym area.

Oh, and the outdoor kitchen that provides the backdrop for many awkward 'the morning after' scenarios!

Last year's interiors were pretty stunning, from large bedrooms to a marble bathroom with a luxurious looking bath.

Oh and of course there's likely to still be a dressing room where the girls and boys can get ready for their dates.
