BUET students continue demo

Students of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) on Tuesday continued their protest for the fourth day on a 16-point demand.

Their demand includes cancellation of the new recruitment order of director of student's welfare.

The agitating students have boycotted all the academic activities and have locked up the administrative building and the office of the university’s vice chancellor.

As per their protest programme, they are supposed to hold procession on the campus and stage a sit-in front of the campus Shaheed Minar till 3:00pm today.

Their other demands include formation of a special committee to build the Buet gate, introducing teacher evaluation system, digitalising students’ payment process, increasing allocation in research sector and recruitment of a student-friendly director of student's welfare among others.
