5 hurt as miscreants attack BCL leaders in Khulna

At least five activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League, the ruling Awami League-backed student organisation, injured as miscreants attacked on them in Koyra upazila of Khulna on Sunday.

The incident took place at Sutir office area of Maharajpur union in the upazila at around 7:00pm.

The injured are identified as Rabbi, Russel, Abdullah, Madani and Wahid.

Of them, seriously injured Abdullah and Madani were undergoing treatment at upazila health complex.

Confirming the incident, Salahuddin Ahmed, president of Koyra upazila Chhatra League said some branded miscreants attacked on them when they were in an organisational meeting at the area.

Salahuddin alleged that former BCL Koyra unit general secretary Md Al Amin was behind the attack.

 Al Amin’s brother Ruhul Amin and Kalam directly took part in the attack.
